It’s been a bit so lets do this again, and see what we get. Remember no filters, first page only 4 cars to your fleet.
my first choice this manual X90, 4WD, and only 74k miles. Asking price of 3,000 seems like a goo start for negotiating .
Car number 2 is a late model 944 Vert, non turbo, but at least its manual and seems to eb in very goo nick. seller is asking a absolutely bonkers 15,800 for it. chop the 1 off and you got a deal.
Car #3 is A freaking Mini, like a real one. I got some really good choices this time, I had to go back and make sure my “manual only” filter wasn’t on. If you look in the background you see a Suzuki Alto Werks, and what is most likely the same 944. Any way this is a rat top, 78 Austin Mini wit some nice chunky wheels. Seller says everything else is original spec, and is also 9900.
you gotta have a truck so I’ll go with is big Burban. It’s not a diesel but it is incredibly clean inside and out. asking price is 2700
i just realized that 3/4 cars ave some sort of convertible function.

Update : Oh, supposed to be no filters. Damn. Anyway, I s et my filters for 1950-’80, so deal with it.
My first choice, just for the sheer novelty of seeing that many photos without being able to really get a feel for what the car really looks like, is this Z28 that desperately needs some loving camera work.
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/d/80-z28/6737754255.html
More seriously, this pickup truck hits me right in the feels. I’m a sucker for anything that well-restored, much too lazy/resource-constrained to do it myself.
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/d/1950-chevrolet-model-4400/6716943819.html
Having said that, this Traveler looks too intriguing to ignore, so I’ll pretend I could actually make it pretty again.
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/d/morris-minor-traveler-woody/6722740414.html
I was going to include a VW bus, but this non-local-but-still-listed wild-ass Thunderbird showed up, and since I already have the Morris Minor “bus” on my list, here’s the Thunderbird.

So here’s my list of questionable decisions:
2002 WRX from someone who squished the pictures.
Nice old Bronco in a very loud green
2005 CTS-V from someone who took pictures of the picture on a computer screen
And this 1952 Ford F-1 that is asking for more than the first 3 combined

1988 Caprice Classic Brougham
. Not only is it brown as hell, but it’s got
UNDER 35000 MILES
and looks to be in remarkably good shape for its age. That’s an easy yes at $2750.
2000 Acura Integra GS-R
. Asking $5k and looks pretty good, but may need some negotiation if the ad winds up being a little less than honest (being from a dealer and all...).
2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
, so I can attempt to understand Jeep Things™, like why this 108
k mile example is supposedly worth $17
k. Feels a bit CP, though I’ve never been in the market for one.
1967 Camaro SS
. I’m even more clueless about how reasonable the price tag is here at $33.5k, but it looks REALLY good and would almost certainly be entertaining to drive.

that integra seems too good to be true, and the withe paint doesn’t seem like the factory white, but the photos are over exposed in general so thats probably why. That Caprice looks like a little black lady is about to drive it to chruch in, big hat and all.

This is going to cost a fortune and be super questionable, the PNW markup is real.
First up is a 2017 MB GLS550, the wife’s new car ($71000):
2008 BMW M3 w/ 6-speed Manual, modified and likely quite questionable, just under 100k miles ($21900):
2012 Mini JCW w/ 6-speed Manual from that dealer that slapped a fucking telephone number on every single picture of the car ($14888):
2016 Lexus RC 350 F Type Coupe from shady dealer that probably mainly sells to drug dealers, has terrible pictures, and brands all their images ($???, free?):
Ballin’ on a budget bonus options:
2016 VW Golf GTI SE w/ 6-speed, which almost beat out the Lexus because it’s a manual ($22257):
2014 VW Dirty Diesel Wagon (auto..boo..hiss) ($15500):

This would work very well if you only had one or two parking spaces, because at least two of these cars would be a shop at any given time.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:09 |

It is, there were some older things that I just couldn’t find a place for:
1989 Corvette 398ci 407whp 6 speed (I’m not a huge fan or Corvettes in general of the C4 in particular, but look at it!)
1995 3000GT VR4 twin turbo (I’d like a 3000GT, and indeed put one on my list last time, but this one is just a bit too rough)
1960 APACHE shortbed TRUCK 2WD (I can’t really see myself driving this, but I also can’t imagine anyone not smiling seeing it driving around)
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:13 |

I’d take the Chevy just because of the color , and the column shift.

why would anyone buil d a long box hot road. Turning circle appears to be about 1 walmart parking lot.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:36 |

Let’s start with a 2004 Cadillac XLR
Then go to a 1993 Tacoma Regular Cab for $2400
Then a 1946 Ford Business Coupe for $14k
and to finish up let’s pick the 2000 E320 wagon for $2750
The last one was picked over a VR6 Eurovan. Other than that it’s a sea of full sized pickups, SUV/CUVs and beige cars. I’m not including the Honda S2000 because that’s in Kalispell, MT and I wouldn’t drive that far for a car I don’t fit in.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:38 |
|
I didn’t want cliché Bel-Air or cliché 69 Camaro. I wanted differen t . I like the fact that they extended the cab for modern humans. I would unchop the top because I like sitting upright. I really like that it’s a Ford motor in it. Would maybe swap it for a 4.9 straight 6 with a turbo. Also usable truck bed size. I would probably also rig up IFS.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:52 |
|
I don’t normally like XLR’s but that one is a nice color so I’d drive it, that Tacoma looks like a great beater, good woods truck, and I cant tell you howmuch i like id 40's Fords.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 15:56 |

He doesn’t say so, and being CL there are no pictures of course, but I’m guessing those dual carbs are sitting on a flathead which is fantastic. When it comes to fat fendered Fords I usually prefer the convertibles but I’d take this in a minute.
![]() 11/02/2018 at 16:00 |

I do love the sound of a flathead. theres a 50 Ford coupe that tools wound to wn in the summer, its a bit of a hot rod, nice rake to the stance, small bumpers, not much chrome, and it sounds so perfect.

honest question. Would you prefer an SRT4 engine or the V6?
![]() 11/02/2018 at 16:33 |
|
For my car?
The 6G75 Mivec, hands down. More power, more torque, simple NA motor, better reliability, not much more weight if any. It’s a monster of a motor stock, easily taken over 300hp with simple intake/exhaust/tune.
Between a 3.0 (6g72) and an SRT4, I’d still choose the 6. Cheaper to buy/maintain, easily makes over 300whp on stock internals, stock fuel, and stock ecu. Throw 6-8lbs of boost at it and have a 300hp V6 with a massive torque band and next to zero turbo lag.
